Oracle card readings

These can be done via zoom, email or in person (arranged in advance)

How does it work?

At the beginning of the appointment, the space and energy is cleared and your guides are called in.
Then karakia (chant or ritual) is said, your guides are asked to bring messages forward for your highest good.
You may be seeking guidance to a particular question (which you can keep to yourself, there is no need to vocalise this to Caitlin)
or just general guidance.

How the cards come out are up to you some options include

  • Caitlin shuffling them and you say when to stop

  • You shuffle them and pull cards when you feel guided to

  • You wait for cards to pop out while shuffling

  • You spread the deck out on a table face down and pick cards that you feel drawn to

  • You pick cards randomly from a pile

It doesn’t matter how many cards you pull or what method you use to view them, what ever messages are for you will be brought forward.

Caitlin will then explain to you what each of the cards mean, you can ask any questions you need, you can also take pictures of the cards for future reference.

Once the reading is completed, Caitlin will then thank your guides, say a closing karakia and close the space.

Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-near) healing practice that helps you relax, rebalance, and feel more in tune with yourself. It comes from Japan and is all about working with energy, specifically, your life force energy (the stuff that keeps you feeling alive and well).

The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words:

  • "Rei" meaning "universal" or "spiritual wisdom"

  • "Ki" meaning "life energy" (like “chi” or “prana”)

So basically, Reiki = universal energy.

How does it work?

During a Reiki session, lie down fully clothed while a practitioner gently places their hands on or just above different parts of your body. You don’t have to do anything, just relax and receive.

People often feel:

  • Warmth or tingling

  • Deep relaxation

  • Emotions releasing

  • A sense of peace or calm

It’s not about pushing or forcing anything, it’s more like giving your body and mind space to reset and heal.

What’s Reiki good for?

Reiki can help with:

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Feeling emotionally overwhelmed

  • Fatigue or burnout

  • Physical aches and pains

  • General energy “off” days

  • Spiritual connection or grounding

It’s often used alongside other therapies, not a replacement for medical care, but a nice support.

Where did it come from?

Reiki started in Japan in the early 1900s with a man named Mikao Usui. After a powerful spiritual experience, he developed this energy healing system to help people find balance, calm, and inner healing. Since then, Reiki has spread all over the world and grown into different styles, but the core idea has stayed the same: helping people feel better by working with energy.

A few guiding principles

The original Reiki teachings also included five simple daily intentions:

  1. Just for today, I won’t get angry

  2. Just for today, I won’t worry

  3. Just for today, I’ll be grateful

  4. Just for today, I’ll do my work honestly

  5. Just for today, I’ll be kind to others

They’re not rules, more like gentle reminders to help you live with a little more peace and mindfulness.
